This brief requested the creation of a logo for a young product design lab known as Si14 Inc. The objective was to create a logo that represents the visionary nature of new technology. My research resulted in various explorations and abstractions of what it means "to see" in the digital age. I ultimately decided that creating a rebus or visual pun was a logical way to communicate this concept. Si14, the periodic element of Silicon, is commonly found in electronics and is the enabler of "vision" in the digital age. This discovery led me to design an atom with with an eye for a nucleus, representing both literally and metaphorically, vision.
